We celebrated the advent of Christmas with a wonderful Nativity Play in the Barn on our last day of term, followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the Nursery afterwards.  Fiona and Peter very kindly hosted our Christmas Lunch in their kitchen after everyone had gone home.  Thanks to Ali Boylan for providing us with some of the photographs from her front seat vantage point - see 3rd Photo!  Happy Christmas to all our children and parents and we look forward to seeing you next term!

It took four strong men to bring the tree into our nursery this morning and there seemed to be a lot of kerfuffle getting it to stand up in the corner.  Then we had sweep up all the mess they left.  But it is a splendid Christmas Tree and we are looking forward to decorating it!

Some of the children painted poppies and helped to make a wreath to mark Armistice Day today.  At 11am, we all tried to keep very quiet for two minutes to say thank you to all the service men and women who had fought in the wars.

The Sheep in Fiona's field needed moving so the Shepherd and his dog came along with their big trailer and rounded them all up - eventually!

We are learning about Seasons this week so we made some lovely leaf prints using autumn colours...

Victoria helped us to make bread rolls this morning and read us The Little Red Hen story.  Then we all went out to see our own little red hens while our rolls were baking.

Austin and his mum brought a pet lizard into school today for everyone to see!

It was such a nice day so we decided to spend all our time outside in the garden, helping to move the bark chippings on to our new path and watering the flowers.  We also tried painting and had our snack and lunch outside too.  Julie fell over when she tried to move some bark on her own!

A lovely late-summer day...

A new term and already, the children have been so busy!
