Maidford Montessori Nursery

Maidford Montessori Nursery opened in 1989 and over the last 20 years we have been catering for children from two up to five years using a combination of Montessori philosophy, specially designed equipment and the individual talents of our dedicated staff.

We are situated in a converted barn in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside surrounded by attractive woodlands, ponds, gardens and animals.

At Maidford we are all dedicated to helping your child to reveal his or her full potential within a caring and safe environment. We offer valuable life experiences outside of the family environment.

The initial years for your child are extremely active and important for future learning. Children are especially hungry to learn and to be able to do things for themselves and here at Maidford we nurture and support their individual independence and eagerness to learn.

This is achieved by a blend of inside and outside activities. Come rain or shine we enjoy wonderful outdoor activities, fresh air and exercise. Ranging from woodland walks to letting of steam running around our secure garden area.

Inside the nursery the children are guided to make their own decisions about which activities to choose, working both independently and in small groups. Each child is free to choose an activity they would like to work with. During each session each child will receive direct contact with a member of staff, it will be within this time that your child will be guided towards a specific area of learning or introduced to a new piece of material relating to their progress, this guidance stems from careful and detailed observations of each child in the setting.
